Additional comments: The Climate Solutions Fund (CSF) is the newest SAIF offering of our fund-as-curriculum model, training students as investment managers in a multi-asset class investment fund, investing into climate solutions financing opportunities. The focus of the investment is in climate solutions opportunities including, but not limited to: growth or middle market equity public-private partnerships, debt funds, place-based regional funds, blue bonds, etc. The class will be run like the Haas Impact Fund, with upfront teaching for 3 weeks, then with weekly laboratory classes for each team, followed by a pitch day the Friday before Thanksgiving. The Reader will work in team formation and interaction, as a chief of staff for the fund. The course will focus on consumer credit markets such as mortgages, mortgage bonds, credit cards, corporate bonds, Cancer drug intellectual property and various insurance products including casualty insurance, parametric reinsurance, credit risk transfer. The course will developed pricing and data management techniques needed to structure securitized deals and to trade and price the bonds.
